Caleb Reese Paul
WRITER/DIRECTOR/PRODUCER/WARREN. Caleb Reese Paul is a 15-year-old award-winning Actor, Writer, and Director. From a young age, Caleb has always had a passion for filmmaking. At 11 years old (and at the height of the Covid pandemic in the summer of 2020), he wrote, directed, produced, and acted in The Nexus, a sci-fi short. It had its world premiere at the Big Apple Film Festival later that year. It’s now available to stream on Apple TV. For the past 4 years, Caleb has played Jeremy Sisto's son on the Dick Wolf CBS Primetime TV series, FBI, and can be seen in The Walking Dead: Dead City, The Other Two, and more. The Lake in the Sky is Caleb’s fifth professional short film.

Maxine Wanderer
SARAH. Maxine Wanderer is a Brooklyn based actress, dancer and musician. Favorite TV roles include the recurring character of Amber in NBC’s Chicago Fire and Ruby Mesner in Law and Order: SVU. She can also be seen on The Blacklist, Saturday Night Live, in the award winning fantasy short Sylphvania Grove, (winner of the Austin Revolution Film Festival Best Youth Actor Award) and in the upcoming short, They Rescue Horses, Don’t They? Maxine got her start performing with the Child’s Play NY Shakespeare Ensemble and was Clara in The Brooklyn Nutcracker at The Kings Theatre. Maxine is an avid reader and writer, and plays the piano and electric bass. She is managed by Meredith Rothman at Anonymous Content and Stewart Talent.

BETTY. Lily is delighted to be a part of The Lake in the Sky! Some film/television credits include AppleTV+’s Extrapolations (Decima Kabua), NBC Universal SyFy’s Happy! (Jamie), and Netflix’s The After Party (Young Suik-Kim). Top theater credits include Off-Broadway’s The Underlying Chris (Understudy/performed Christine and others). Lily has also worked with Caleb Reese Paul on projects including The Nexus (Skylar) and The Mirror | Mirror The (co-writer, Scarlet). Notable works include scores for award-winning films like "The Last Great Climb" and "Brit Rock" with Posing Productions. His recent acclaimed work on "The Gardener," distributed by Lionsgate, is available on streaming platforms such as Apple TV and Amazon. Dean's music is featured in Hollywood hits like "Bros" and on popular shows like Panorama, Sky Sports, MasterChef, X Factor, BBC News, and Netflix's Love Is Blind. He has also composed for major brands like Apple, Dodge, Nescafé, and Northrop Grumman.

PRODUCTION DESIGNERS. Rosemary Gonzalez, Henny Harmon and Ryan Wright are three artists based out of the NY tri-state area who came together for The Lake in the Sky. They collaborate regularly in sculpture, wardrobe or prop styling, set design, photography and graphic design. Two air and a fire sign!

Wendy Yang
COSTUME DESIGNER. From to experimental theatre in Bushwick blackboxes to multi-million dollar film sets, Wendy Yang has over twenty years of professional experience in the fashion and entertainment industries. Wendy seeks to celebrate the human inside the clothing, finding beauty and humor in both the eccentric and the mundane. Wendy has been on the costume team for such projects as Fallout, The OA, The Many Saints of Newark, SNL, and The Good Nurse.

HAIR & MAKEUP. Kimberly Amacker is an Emmy nominated make-up artist who has been working in film and TV for nearly 20 years. She has a passion for working with fellow artists, crew and actors to help bring the characters and the scripts to life. Her most recent works include: Succession, Ozark, The Parenting, Girls on the Bus and Fallout.

Cesar Monroy
GRIP & ELECTRIC SWING. Cesar Javier Monroy Jimenez is a first time director graduating from Brooklyn College in 2022. He earned Best Original Screenplay at the Brooklyn College 40th Annual Undergraduate Film festival for his thesis film Why We Work, also earning him the Brooklyn College Human Rights Film Award for touching on the topic of immigration. His short documentary The Place We Call Home was an official selection for The Suny Wide Film Festival in Oswego. Working as a videographer and assistant editor for different organizations over the past five years such as the Central Park Conservancy, Cesar has worked under most aspects of production. Being a first generation Mexican Immigrant himself he wishes to be the voice of the underrepresented working migrant youth who risked and left everything behind in search of a better life in the land of opportunity and be able to tell their stories.

Rowan Salhi
PRODUCTION ASSISTANT/SET PHOTOGRAPHER. Rowan Salhi is a photographer and filmmaker who has spent his entire life creating media. Writing numerous screenplays, filming everything he could, and editing on whatever program he could get his hands on, he found a love for creating as early as 8 years old. Starting as an actor at the age of 13 he discovered a passion for the art of filmmaking. In college, he transitioned to working behind the camera and studied photography under Kevin Salemme, eventually publishing his first exhibit, Being Merrimack, in the spring of 2023. Rowan is a graduate in Communications and Digital Media Production from Merrimack College and is currently working on his debut film, entitled Last Semester.

PRODUCTION ASSISTANT. Jacob Robicheau was born in Greenwich, CT, in 2002. He is a junior undergrad studying at Emerson College, and has an acute love for filmmaking and cinematography. He currently resides in Westport, CT.

Bill Austin
PRODUCTION ASSISTANT. Bill Austin is an unprofessional American animator and director. He has starred in the short film Through the Eyes (2019) and the mockumentary slasher sitcom Asshole Who Kills People (2021-2022) and has written the one-act play Monument for An Evening with Company. He has directed the live-action short films Through the Eyes (2023) and Defector (2023), and has directed the award-winning animated short film Compassion (2022). He is currently directing and producing the animated feature film Scratch's Elites (2024).
